The Earthtones is a pop-R&B five-member vocal group from Calgary consisting of twenty-somethings Dana Crawford, Tim Mason, Jesiahh, Chris Liscano and Scott Henderson.
The group formed in 1992 as an a cappella group releasing their first album called Those Darn Hoodlums. In 1993, instrumentation was added to the Earthtones sound and Jesiahh and Liscano
joined. Next year, the album To Be Continued was released. Two songs from the CD, Daydream and Move This Night hit the national charts.
The Earthtones commercial success also earned them awards and nominations. In 1995, they were nominated for a Juno and the following year, the group won the 1996 Alberta Recording Industry
Association award for Best Blues/Soul/ R&B Artist. The band released their third album, Blindfolded And Ready, in 1997. However, it made little impact and by August of that same year, the group had disbanded.
