Michelle Shocked may have been missing in action for the last few years, but it hasn't been the result of inaction.
"I have been, shall we say, girding my loins," laughs the eclectic singer-songwriter, who has released only a handful of independent albums in the past decade. "I don't really know what better way to explain it.
