HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?!
By ANIKA VAN WYK
HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?! Toby Keith How Do You Like Me Now?! could have been a disastrous title if this CD wasn't as good as it is. This is Keith's first release with DreamWorks and he seems to have found a good musical home, as this album is heartfelt and not form-fitting. The title track is a fun, teasing tune that tells people that they shouldn't give up if they're teased as youngsters because so much can go right in the future. The song, which Keith co-wrote, even has a subtle nya-nya na-na nya-nya tone to it. It is also a nice change to hear intelligent love songs, which aren't overly mushy. Heart to Heart, which is written for his wife and son Stelen, is a sweet, honest tribute. Keith also gets sassy in Country Comes to Town, in which he proudly owns up to being a plowboy and hayseed. And though Hold You, Kiss You, Love You is repetitive, it's darn catchy. Track Listing
